Amazon Pre-Order HD Discount Issues

I have noticed that many of my pre-orders are not showing the HD discount I should be getting. However, if I go and pre-order the item again, the discount shows up in the cart.

What gives? I have to delete all my pre-orders and put them in again to get the discount?

I noticed this with Ratatouille and Cars. I just thought it was a Disney thing. However, I have even more that are not showing. Kinda pisses me off. If I cancel and reorder, it throws me to the back of the line.

What should I do?

Yeah I have been having issues as well with that, too late this time to cancel but im just not going to pre order anymore since i dont get them on Tuesday anyways.

Your best bet is to contact Amazon and have them refund the difference to your card. That way you keep our place on the pre-order list and get your money

I had them do this for me...just contact them and tell them you should qualify for the discount and a refund through the post-order price guarantee. I had to have them do this for me with Rat and Cars.

I will give them a call and see what they say. I received an email last night about how I get 54 cents back from them for Cars price guarantee. However no HD discount. Very strange.

You have to wait for the HD discount to be applied to the item. Don't preorder as soon as Amazon lists them. It takes a while for Amazon to apply the discount.

That's what some here have said, but it still did not apply. Even after it was shipped.

When I pre-ordered Cars I didn't even think about re-ordering it for any discount...
But yesterday I got an email that said they refunded me some small amount as part of an HD pre-order discount.
You will most likely get a refund too.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying, if you preorder the item and the discount is not listed at the time of ordering then Amazon won't apply the discount unless you call them. When amazon lists a title for preorder that you want, wait a week or so before ordering and then you should get the discount at the checkout process.

I hope that makes sense lol...

What is the HD discount? I have a list of preorders a mile long and a lot of them was right when they posted them for preorder.

About a year ago if you ordered 3 blu rays at one time Amazon enrolled you in an HD discount program where you get 10% off your entire blu ray/HD DVD purchases until December 31st 2007

I did not delete my preorder. I updated my shipping method and all sudden I got 10 dallor off for Ratatouille since I preorder it with Cars and it was areadly shipping and Rat was not ship so I had to update to speed shipping for 2 days and I was shocked to get 10 dallor off. And it was shipped on 7th and arrived my home on 8th. And I got both movies in yesterday! yayaya! (Note: Cars came in regular mail, it was shipped on Monday night, and Rat come in UPS).
