Default Turtlebeach headset for Ps3

I am looking for a good headset since i play a couple online games like cod mw2 & red dead redemption. The ps3 headset looks fine and is at a pretty good price but i hear alot of people say they enjoy the turtlebeach ones...Just wondering if anyone here has it and what they think about it. I'm considering buying one. Thanks Heres a link to the one i seen.

I have a set of Turtle Beach headphones for the Xbox 360 and they are great. I bought them when my son was born so when I played late at night I wouldn't disturb anybody. The cool thing about the Turtle Beach headphones is that they are used not only for online chat like the Sony bluetooth headset, but also output game audio too so you can just mute the tv and hear everything through the headphones. Also they can output game audio and voice chat through the headphones simultaneously and utilize a voice chat equalizer so when the game audio level raises (during explosions, etc.) the chat volume also raises so the voices of your teammates aren't drowned out by the game. So yeah I would definitely recommend them. Never heard the Triton headphones in action but everywhere I've looked I saw the Turtle Beach headphones rated higher.

I own the PX21 and absolutely love it--excellent sound quality and supremely comfortable too. Turtle Beach headsets are so incredible because they combine BOTH the game audio and your mic communication in one.

A lot better? No way. Have you seriously ever compared them side-by-side or do you just like the "pretty" Trittons? I had Trittons too but ended up returning them because the sound quality is sub-par. The one you specifically posted (AX720) has a SERIOUS lack of bass! Overall, the sound is very uneven. Plus, because Tritton headsets are more like HELMETS, you absolutely know they're on your head. Also, they're HEAVY too! Not very comfortable at all, especially when you're playing for a couple hours at a time.

The only benefit to those Tritton's is that they have surround sound. However, sacrificing audio quality does not mean it's better to opt for Tritton just for that. Turtle Beach just released the DSS audio processor a couple weeks ago so that you can get surround sound in ANY of their headsets or any other headphone/headset.

So in essence, the PX21 is still the better option--whether used with surround sound or not.

That's a communicator headset just like the Sony Bluetooth earpiece that the OP posted about saying that he already has.
