So we get 130,000 * .7195 = 93,535. So Spider-Man 3 sold 223,000 total copies (not counting PS3 bundles).

That's DOUBLE what Transformers likely sold.
Those are the important numbers!

Looking at the top 10, if SM3 sold 130,000, the combined with the Trilogy is 223,500. WOW.

I think we all should read the accompanying article regarding the format war (it begins to the right of the graph on page 1 in the posted link), and pray that the BDA works something out with Toshiba to bring this to a quick close. Nobody's denying the strength of Blu-ray, or their eventual "win", but what it could cost in the end. I am not a "doom-and-gloom" poster (as anyone familiar with my posts will attest), but I think it's something we all need to be aware of, and all the more reasons to get out there and support our format of choice.

Is there a parallel between the 130k forecasted and Sony's recent statement about the war being in a stalemate? Are they being sarcastic, giving hope to HD-DVD only to smash them with reality. Hmmmmm!

I see a major point in this week's numbers as not just the crushing 71:29 victory for Blu-ray, but the fact that HD DVD had only one title in the top 10.
