Try doing your own laundry or not leaving stuff in your own pockets.

But,...The rice thing works but not if you are trying to turn it on and use it while it's still damp inside. You have to not be doing stuff like that till it's been in rice overnight.

I think when you say you got it to turn on but not work... That was the end right there.
