We can go to all sorts of other sources opinions and site all sorts of numbers, but as much as we wish it were not true both numbers appear to be factual and actually they do make sense.

But if you want to believe any thing you want, that is your right and if it makes you feel better then I think that is good also.

I'm done debating if the numbers are fact or fiction.
But the fact and truth is the numbers for Spiderman movies are only the truth where the numbers for Paramount are a big lie.

The only problem with your argument is you are acting like Paramount are only aware of the numbers. They PAY people to track numbers, third parties. So to simply say "paramount knows more than you" is asinine, imo. There is a very good reason that the third parties exist to announce numbers...or else people liek you would believe it when the companies who have an obvious agenda bend the numbers like Paramount did....thats why the third parties who are paid to track the numbers step in with no agenda.

Also, if Paramount is so much smarter than us, I would only like for you to explain why they insist the inflated numbers come from the "untracked" amazon, blockbuster and netflix (they said 80k were sold at these locations) when indeed they are all ALREADY tracked yet they tried passing it off to the general consumer as their "reasoning" so as if to say they had good reason that their numbers werent the same.....when in fact the reason they gave was BS.

None of you guys arguing makes any differencee. The studio/industry personnel have the real numbers, and that's all that matters. The back and forth on these boards is ridiculous.

At last, someone who doesn't let his wishes overcome his reason.

I realize you cannot make people believe the truth if they've already decided to ignore it (either side of this debate).

It could go back and forth forever and even if it was carved in stone and handed down for on high, they would still argue the fact.

I apoplogize to the forum atheists for the religious example used above.

We don't know the truth (exact sales numbers), but we do know they did not sell 190k, that's beyond doubt.

I as much as I would love to believe the whole anonymous Blu-Ray studio accusation angle is just too thin, provide a link identifying the two studios, then I would put more weight into it.

You mean, finally someone who posted something which doesn't flat out disagree with the lie I believe?

To repeat one quote from you however:

is completely priceless coming from someone who's posted what you have.

Back on topic, what does everyone (realistically) think the numbers are going to this week? Do you think we will see the biggest skew yet? Perhaps 85:15, or something more like 77:23?

I'm pretty certain Blu-ray will get past the 80% mark. The impact of the three Pixar titles cannot be overstated. Everything above will be just gravy.

But there will be gravy.

If Spidey 3 combined is 130,000, then this is the top 10 at Nielsen.

I see that HD-DVD sales are sinking like a ship, and as always, Blu is remaining fairly steady, this being on Amazon.com.

I vote Blu-ray will be atleast 80:20 this next week's reports after the initial Pixar movie sales. May be higher.
