The disc is top notch (AVC encode). Keep in mind the title is a (roughly 50 min.) documentary style video that details, as the title suggests, the art of Disney. It is an interesting view. Also included are 100+ full screen, 1080p stills/slideshows from many of the old Disney classics such as Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia. This provides a big tease for how the classics will look when released on Blu Ray. For a fan of all things Disney, it was worth the (fairly) steep price tag.

Hope you enjoy!
Thanks, Justjayn. I'm not a fan of all things Disney...only the good stuff! It is a little pricey for a personal purchase this close to the holidays, but I fear it would eat at me, knowing this BD was out there---and not mine. I'm not really an artist but I've done some scenic painting over the years; stuff like Earle's backgrounds for Sleeping Beauty leave my jaw hanging open.

I haven't found much info on this release, so I appreciate your capsule description. How long did it take your order to process? I can be quite patient...provided mine gets here before family leaves town after Christmas.

Does anyone know if the Australian BD of Face/Off is in fact uncut? I've read that the UK version is censored so I'd prefer to avoid that version if an uncut version exists elsewhere.

Yes, you can order Blu-ray discs from overseas. Just look att this site to confirm that it is region free or plays in a region A-player:

http://bluray.liesinc.net/

All Blu-ray titles have the original sound track. Question is if the disc also have sub-titles for titles like Pan's Labyrinth and if a disc got an extra sound track for anime-movies. The version of Pan's Labyrinth in Germany have for example no subtitles in English and the original soundtrack is in Spansih. It also has a dub i German but no in English.

The site I linked to also list if English is missing.

Fixed.

I believe Warner doesn't use regional coding at all, in parallel with HD DVD not having it.

Default Importing Blu-ray's from Europe...

Hey everyone. Have a question here. I would like to import movies from www.amazon.co.uk/ but have a couple of questions first.

I just visited www.amazon.co.uk/ and it worked. What I mean is, it recognized who I was, and it said I was still an Amazon Prime Member. What I am wondering is:

1) Does anyone know where I can find a list that lists all Blu-ray movie's that aren't available in the USA, and if they will play or not on my 60 PS3.

2) How do I know what the real cost of these movies would be. They list the cost in Euro's, but will that change when I go to check out; will it change to US$?

Thanks everyone!

From the UK you can import:

Starship Troopers
Crimson Tide
The Rock
Face/Off
Bruce Almighty
Con Air
The Island

and from Germany I think you can also get 12 Monkeys.

I'm assuming you're paying with a credit or debit card through Amazon, so don't worry about the exchange rate, since bank who issued said card will automatically do that for you.

BTW, as of today 1 Euro is 1.466 Dollars.

When I have ordered DVDs from Europe to the States, there is no customs duty for recorded media. You do pay extra shipping. Going the other way depends on what the country of destination is. There is sometimes a duty, but again, not if it's going into America. That's been my exp.

Using regular shipping from Europe (6-10 business days), I can order "The Island" off of www.amazon.co.uk for $26.95 US Dollars.

The only thing that I need to find out is if it will play on my US PS3. Does anyone know if it would?

Well, before I order it, I just want to make sure that it will play on my PS3. I'm not going to order it unless I know for a fact that it will.

The good news is, using regular shipping from Europe (6-10 business days), I can order "The Island" off of www.amazon.co.uk for $26.95 US Dollars.
