Take it for what it is, there are many excited people here who might not express themselves as you would like, but the fact of the matter is, this is a blu ray site and we are competing against HD DVD-DUD. If the thread in not to your liking, move on, but dont judge others by there comentment in their format of choice. This is a Blu Ray site, not a neutral format site.

so by your definition this is a fanboy site????

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanboy

basically because this is a BD site only we can say whatever we want about competing products?? Interesting logic, we have the right to act like immature children because it's our home field. Any parent would have a hay day with that logic.

Actually I agree with you. Supporting Blu Ray is absolutely wonderful. Hell I bought 24 discs in the last month alone. It just shows an immaturity when we've got members who sit and bash the other product to no end when we are supposed to be devoted to ONE format.

Do you think you favotite sports team are praising the opposing team before the game? No , they are trash talking. Its human nature to get others stired up against rivals, Only stated here are statistics, not mother jokes.

When HD-DVD officially loses the format war I imagine the bashing will drop off markedly...

Seriously though---if you're looking for exclusively intelligent mature adult discussion (an ANY topic) I suggest that online forums in general would not be the place to look.

there are some psychological offense why we are against the rival format.

its our right to behave ,support, and enjoy the complete dominance of BD because its clear and obvious it is only the superior format.

Why we are behaving like that ,you react to lies and misinformation from HD-DVD rival format declaring they have the unbeatable format and complete finish product.Whereas by going in time HD-DVD prove its failure.

lies and misinformation???? I don't believe any of the companies on either side. I go by experience. I like my BD player and BD discs look fantastic. (on a side note, I like my HD DVD player and my HD DVD discs look fantastic) I didn't fall into the marketing of either format. I go by what I want to enjoy at the moment, not by "lies and deceptions" of either of the two sides. Not everyone is just "deceived by M$ and Toshiba to buy a piece of crap"

?Experience? Why are you on this site, or any other for that matter? If its just the titles your intrested in(at the moment), and you know all, you dont need to involve yourself in the fourm discussion. If you desire statictics and trends , information about the format, its future, current events, the forum is your place. but be prepared to deal with the general public. and many of us are on this site because we belive it is the best format, prepare yourself for this as its catching on. Like I said, take it or leave it. We (majority) prefer blu ray. If this upsets you, log onto amazon and you can look over whatever movies you like, in whatever format. You can enjoy your(moment), whatever.
But dont expect a warm welcome when discussing HD DVD on a blu ray forum, not a lot of suporters here. Go to a Chevy car club and talk about your Ford. same response, garanteed

I cant argue with you and i will not.

BUT look how Warner deals with BD equally to the specs of HD-DVD,For the time being they are fixing it.300 is a good example.
I did not choose my format because of marketing and misinformation,i pick my favourite format since inception and maybe before.but i cant choose a loosing format without fighting back with facts and truth. If paramount are encoding correctly their format now because of BD.except for some titles who can and will deserve the best once released on BD in Future.

here's my 2 cents on the subject. i think that 1/2 the threads on this site don't have anything to do with hd dvd. i think that most of them do with problems that need help, sales/deals on BLU-RAY movies, and different home theater products. sure most people (including myself) have used the term HD DUD. but that's not exactly making us fanboys. we're just pro BLU. another thing is your wikipedia post says fan boys ignore facts, well it looks like HD DVD supporters are the ones ignoring the facts. i think bashing them is perfectly fine on this site.

I kind of agree but I really bash the shit out of Paramount though. I really have no problem with HD DVD. It's not my choice and I think that other than low cost, it does not offer any true enthusiast an advantage. I also don't like people who embrace a medium that is a step backwards in technology. Makes me feel like competition is not really working to its fullest.

What is the opposite of a Fan-boy? Somone who just hates a couple of companies because they exist. I feel that way about Microsoft and Paramount. They are the blood sucking parasites that extended this war to the detriment of the consumer.
