I guess my opinion won't be popular but I loved Hostel 2. It was definitely made for a select audience but I thought seeing the inner workings of the business was very cool. In some ways I think 2 may be better than 1. Don't get me wrong I like them both but I actually hated the male characters in 1 when I first saw it. I have since grown to appreciate them but I felt that they were very stereotypical, of course I think that was the point. I found the female characters in 2 to be much more entertaining. Plus 2 had an intentional euro-horror vibe that I really liked. Anyone aware of Eli Roth knows how much he likes Italian horror and genre pics and this really came across in 2. That's probably why american audiences didn't like it as much. Euro-horror is a very select taste. I think it's cool that Scott Spiegel is doing it although I'm a bit disappointed that Eli is involved considering how adament he was that there would be no Hostel 3. Hopefully his involvement will bring it above Cabin Fever 2 cause that movie sucked.
