Ok, I confess I did a bit of a switch-aroo.

Since most of the screen caps have had the new one on the right, I actully put the new one on the left.

The 2008 release is the one on the right.

maybe i need to check out this new transfer despite all the negativity.. the lips on the picture on the left look horrible and very fake, atleast the one on the right looks more acturate on skin tone..

wow, that's surprising. I couldn't tell the grain differential on it it but I noticed the right one looked brighter so I assumed it was the new one being that they boosted the contrast and brightness in the rest of the film. now that you mention the lips I can see the smearing. lol, that's what I get for make a snap judgement based on the color tone

The 2008 release is not the grainfest some claim it to be.

the darker of the two, the one on the left, is the 2010 version.

Thats what I have been saying all along. I think people just assume that by the title Fox logo. Yes I agree the beginning is not great but the rest of the movie, grain is nowhere near as bad.

What really trips me out now is when watching the Ultimate Edition, it starts with autoplay of the new Predators trailer. It looks decent, meaning the PQ. It looks like film. The new transfer looks NOTHING like that. I mean NOTHING. So it wasn't even Fox trying to update the look of Predator to match the new movie either. I am really wondering if Fox actually messed this up. I still cannot get past the motion effects they added. 120hz is wacked for a movie.

I think the filmmaker's should be contacted for approval on all blu-ray transfers, expecially ones that change the look of the film as much as this new Predator does.

THe 1st one looks like a film, the second just looks goofy.......take another look at the 2, spend a few minutes on each picture.
