The video quality will probably be terrible, they sound like they are throwing this together in a major hurry.

Not surprising. A boxoffice bomb they release on HD DVD 3 months later. Oh wait, a boxoffice smash (transformers) and they also release on HD DVD 3 months later. Why even bother releasing in theaters anymore?

You're not kidding... I mean you pay $7 - $12 (depending on where) per person to see a film in the theatre. You might as well save your money and buy the DVD for a few bucks more.

Yeah, it does seem like they come out way too fast these days. I remember when it was nearly a year before a movie went to video, next thing we know it will be released in theaters, and then video the next week.

I've never even heard of it. But I'm sure the residents of HD-Dudsville will go apeshit over it and claim it to be the one movie to put the final blow on Blu.

There are some already saying that this will be the last week that Blu leads in sales...ever! Talk about dillusional.

Funnily enough, both movies were directed by the Farrelly Brothers.

i saw a preview for it when i went to saw4 , it looked like the usual ben stiller crap movie (meet the parents etc) i enjoy his films like mystery men , zoo lander etc but his romantic/funny movies just don't do it for me.

With these short box office to disc windows it seems like region encoding will become even more important. Not every movie is going to be released worldwide around the same time. For this one it looks like all the major theatrical runs will have at least 4 weeks before a region free HD DVD is released, with it opening in France 11/28 and out on disc on 12/26. I wonder if they will release a PAL version on DVD in the UK on 12/26 also, or whether that will come out later.

I think that is MSRP, it probably will be more in the $30'ish range.
