The light in the room is not controlled. During the day, there is massive sunlight blaring through the room right at the tv...which makes it kind of hard to watch anything during the day. However, at night, movies are watched in low lighting or witht the room completely dark. Like I said earlier, I initially calibrated using the cars s-dvd. I tried using the Rat BD calibrator, but was unsuccesful b/c I don't have the "special" glasses to complete the color setup (that and when it refers to the gamma setting, I am pretty ignorant as to where/how to change the gamma setting). Now the picture looks pretty damn good while watching Rat or Cars BD's, but while watching SM3 BD, the picture is pretty good, but seems to get distorted/blurry during camera panning. I hope this is enough info for you...thanks
