People speed, whether inadvertently or intentionally. The poster admits to the latter, and he's seeking a recommendation on a radar detector, which he's entitled to. I believe he's well aware of the ramifications of his behaviour, so lecturing him on the subject is purposeless; also, the subject of speeding has been discussed ad infinitum and ad nauseum in prior threads, and it's highly unlikely that anyone will change their outlook on the subject based on what others have said. If he wants to criticize the 5-0 while seeking advice on a radar detector, why shouldn't he?

I'm considering the purchase of a radar detector myself, so I'm looking for anecdotal input as well. Feel free to resurrect one of the past threads in the Automotive forum to discuss the subject of speeding, but let's not clutter this thread with comments admonishing the poster's actions.
