Well done, the 'Blu team' gets ever larger, as far as TVs go, look no further than Sony or Sharp.

I heard that the Samsung has overscan issues, though I am not sure if it is that one, if it is the F71 equivalent then I think it does, the Sony TVs have sorted that out.

High fives all around.

I'm in Canada and the Westy looks about perfect in the store. Sony and Sharp appear to beleive the exchange rate is still around 1.40 so they seem too expensive for the higher quality. The TVs should only be 200-300 more than the US but they seem to be closer to 1000.

Anywho they Westy looks like the perfect fit for the space and has gotten some pretty strong online reviews. The best thing for me for watching movies would be to get by eyeglass perscription updated .

Anyone heard when we'll see the BD remote show up for the PS3?

I don't want to cause LCD vs Plasma war here, but honestly speaking, if I would pick one of them for movie watching, I wouldn't pick LCD, even it has more resolution (1080p, for example) while Plasma has only 720p.

Welcome to the site. Yes the PS3 gets some criticism which is completely normal for the PS3. Who doesn't criticize the PS3? LOL. It's only a matter of time before disney releases the movies.

I wouldn't pick an LCD either except for that high end Sony Bravia 1080p. That is really good.

As for plasma, I'd go for a Hitachi or a Pioneer.

As for the Westy, I hope you do your research. Lots of PS3 owners have had difficulty getting the HDMI to sync. Make sure it does 720p (for games) and 1080i (for BD movies) natively! Very important with the PS3!

Yup I did my research. The Westy does full 1080p and also supports 1080i and 720p/i. The reason it is cheaper is because they did not include a tv tuner, which in the current times of the cable box is totally unneccessary.
