See, I DID miss something in Blair. At the end of the movie I had no memory of the

it was this very thing that was most memorable about the movie to me-- that was truly scary.... the rest of the movie not so much

Same thing happened to me.

I also agree with your earlier point; those kids were darn annoying.

I can understand its originality though, with its style and concept. It's just not for me.

Also, if you go to this site and click on the video for "Blair Witch Project," you'll get some insight as to why it ended the way it did.

Ahh okay gotcha--it's def something that can be missed, although it's not a debatable ending (I'm not sure anyone would argue it is). If you missed that earlier part, I absolutely can understand being like wtf at the end.

What do you mean by plot hole? How is that a plot hole? Isn't it just stupidity? The performances didn't bother me, because while they whined a lot I'm sure most of us would've done the same if we were in that position. But, I can def understand getting annoyed at them, for sure.

Maybe thats why it irked me so much. I am a "solver" by nature. I cant deal with people who cant make a decision. When I am in a group of people who are himming and hawing, I tend to grab the reigns, aggressively, and pronto. Cant stand wafflers.

I said plot hole because I'd like to believe that there are not people alive that are actually that stupid. I mean really, pick one direction... lets say West because that the direction we drove to get here, helloooo? and walk that direction without deviation. Sooner or later, town, road, coastline....anythings better than going in circles. Hell, if those were my friends, I would have just killed them myself to escape their stupidity. On day #1, from dawn to dusk, I would have put a good 25-30 miles between myself and that forrest. Especially after hearing all those creepy sounds.... more 40 miles.

I thought the ending was the best part. The standing in the corner creeped me out, even without understanding its significance.

Fair enough--like usual, you have legitimate reasons for not liking a particular film. I like the fact that even despite not liking it, you're still able to find something positive in it. I try to do that but too often I let my distaste for a film cloud things that may be positive about the film.

[Show spoiler]From what you first said, about how the Blair Witch makes them stand in the corner, there is a gentleman in town that Heather talks to that says kids started going missing. there was a man who lived up in the woods who rarely left his house. he came down to town one day and said, "i'm finally done" and the man Heather is talking to says no one knows what he means. the police finally go up and find the missing kids in his house. and during his court appearance he talks about "having the kids stand facing the wall in the corner so he couldn't feel their eyes on him"

this is exactly what the Blair Witch did. so i kind of took it that the man they are referring to was possessed by the Blair Witch and he did exactly what she did. remember when Heather first talks at the cementary and says, "an unusually high number of children were laid to rest here during this time" (forgot the time span she mentions) which i took to mean that that's when the Blair Witch stealing / killing kids happened, and then years later it happened again with the guy who lived in the woods / mountains.

so then, at the end when we see Mike standing in the corner, it's exactly what the Blair Witch AND the guy who lived in the woods / mountains did. that's what i meant by my statement about the guy.
