Could not agree with you more!!! Back in 1995 I bought the VHS version of the trilogy in the original versions. I remember big ad campaign at the time "own the original trilogy ONE LAST TIME". I was so upset when my VCR ate my Return of the Jedi tape, because to replace it meant having to replace it with the remastered version (with the awful change in music). It took nearly 10 years before I was finally able to get the original on DVD, but I was so thankful that I finally did. Like you, I have no interest in the remastered versions on blu - only the original. But George has been such a hard @ss about forcing those versions down our throats that I fully expect the same thing next year.

So looks like I will be upgrading the Episodes I, II, and III to blu and keeping my special edition DVDs.

I even had the VHS of the theatrical edition copied to DVD in case tape was eaten. Was before the 2 disc editions came out. When I found them it was my happiest DVD day. Much more exciting than Godfather trilogy or any other. Having them on DVD was great, so sad they weren't cleaned and it is just 2 channel, oh well. Hope George gives us the original trilogy the same way Ridley Scott gave us Blade Runner, (5 disc set),

I hope so too, but I'm not holding my breath. He has shown us time and time again that he will do what he wants, not what the fans want.

But I'm not sure when the mail will come; sometimes it's around 12, other times 1 or 2pm...

Hey Landry,my Friend.I hope you are doing well today.

I cant explain why,but yesterday I had a Movie Watching Experience that was unlike anything I have ever experienced.
Everything was as perfect as possible.

The surrounds made me believe I was in several different locations.The LFE was impressive,as was all the Special Effect Sounds.While the Dialouge and On-Screen Sound Effects were beyond my highest expectations.

The Movie was in PCM Loseless5.1 Surround..

I still need to do what the others have mentioned(And use an SPL Meter to dial everything in)Also seems like a couple of Blu's are showing on the info tabs as only coming thru as Dolby Digital.

I cant explain why.The rest dont present this problem.But my Blu-Ray Plyer only decodes Standard DTS and Dolby Digital(No loseless codecs)And my AVR isn't decoding these Two Blu-Rays,and is leaving it to the BD Player.

So,tomorrow I will probably switch out Blu-Ray Players(As the one I got 4 or 5 weeks ago was Brand New.And therefore can decode all the HD Formats.

So that should solve the problem until I purchase my new Blu-Ray Player.Then I can move the one for the Living Room back to the Living Room and give my current one to my Sister(and her family).

I watched the first hour of the Matrix but it lept showing as Dolby Digital.And sadly wasn't the best sounding Movie I have.So,I hope after the change it will come thru in Dolby TRUE HD.

Its just going to take some time.With all the cable ties I will have to remove and then re-use.

And thanks for looking out for me on the Harry Potter News.
That will be 5 weeks ahead of schedule,as to the release date.So that was(and is)Music to my Ears.

The UE Box Sets are Nice,especially if you are a Fan like I am.

Hopefully things will work out for you as soon as possible with the paperwork,so they can get what you paid into for so long.
As from my viewpoint they owe you those benefits and should have already been sending them to you.

Hope you are well.

I started watching The Matrix and got thru the First Hour.Then I noticed something didn't sound quite right.One display said it was in Dolby TRUE HD and the other showed only Dolby Digital.
So I tried a few different things with NO results.

I even got the new Blu-Ray Player I bought my Parents in the Living Room and hooked it up.Still no change.So I dont understand.

Then like many days recently a little before 3PM,I started feeling sick on my stomach and real dizzy.So I cut everything off and went to bed.I got up around 1:20AM.

And I still have a couple of Doctor's Visits for Three more sets of Injections(Before they will run the tests on me and see if this helped at all).

The Perfect Storm looks good this morning.So does The Book of Eli.

But my Nephew is staying for a couple of days.I expect we will watch that movie,then.

Maybe T2: SkyNet Edition(Since its in 6.1 Surround Sound).

Sadly I still have NO idea what is happening.
And it doesen't seem to sound like it is in a loseless Codec.

I checked ALL of my BD Players Settings.And even put a Brand New BD Player in its place.(Same result).

I messed with internal settings on my Yamaha and No Luck.
It also did that with one other movie if I am correct.I need to find which one that was,so I can look and see if any others have had an issue with it.

I really hate it,Because I Love The Matrix(even Bought the Tenth Anniversary Digi-Book Edition).

But,I guess Fortunately its only occurred in these two movies(out of all the ones I have played)

So,it just shows me that a new BD Player is something I need to get when I add another component in September(If its not another MonoBlock First)

That sure seems odd Todd that you would have 2 different readings on what is playing . Maybe something in the settings on one of the units is set wrong !
And I would also look at the hook up as well .

I removed the Blu-Ray Player and put a new one in its place.Still get the same result.
Everything is connected and set correctly.

And out of the 25 or 30 Blu's I have played,this is Only the 2nd Disc to do this.
So,I will see what I can find out.

If its something in the Yamaha,I dont see why it wouldn't happen more then 2 out of 25 to 30 different Blu-Rays.
