Cool Best way to watch Blu-ray

Personally, I think monitors are much cheaper, and having aan attached Pc for funtionality is better.

I'm confused... are you asking what the best way to watch blu-rays is? or are you saying it's best to watch on a smaller monitor?

Nevermind, I see you are creating a poll.

the best way is with a big tv uncompressed audio supporting 7.2 system. with a dr pepper, 100 grand candy, and a bunch of coked up hookers.

Yup, big flat panel television with 7.1 surround, homebrewed draft beer, a selection of artisinal cheeses, crusty bread and a full raging blizzard outside with a roaring fireplace.

The best way to use a PC is with a 52" flat panel LCD television.

I wouldn't know about coked up hookers, but the closer you can get to recreating actual theatrical conditions at home, the better. Monitors give you the info, but they don't give you the actual experience. And with films, that's the only thing that matters.

they're for ambience

but we're all in agreement as far as the dr pepper and 100GRAND candybars right?

I forgot to say pitch black room with all cell phones turned off and NO CRYING BABIES!!!!!!!!! sorry. the theater by my house is pretty bad with those things. i've taken to hitting people with pennies or peanut m&m's when they won't stay off their damn phones in the theater.

i'm having some friends over tomorrow. so we will recreate these conditions as best we can.

Computer monitor personally.
As long as the viewing angle is ~36°, you're doing good.

I'm right at 36° with this laptop @ 22-23" distance.

But add in Buckshot's coked up hookers, and some good quality microbrew for the win

I use a computer connected to a 42" plasma TV. Although it is a TV I use it as a monitor.
