I had a lot of hope for it. Then, IT happened. "Frankie" happened. That's right. Frankie (Freddy's half brain dead brother), not Freddy showed up and made the movie a heaping pile of dog crap. I *MAY* rent it to try and convince myself it really wasn't that bad but it's one of the few movies I really wished that I walked out on. It's movies like this that make me hate going to the movies and wasting $20 for 2 people.

I was so disappointed when I first seen the movie, I was so hyped up for it. I must admit having watched it another couple of times, I actually enjoyed it the 3rd time. I think the cast are OK, I think if Robert Englund had have been Freddy it would have been alot better, Jackie did an OK job I just dont think it was "our" Freddy. Also I would have gotten rid of Thomas Dekker also he just didnt care for the character at all he just ruined the "Rod" part, they could have gotten someone a little more badass instead of some little punk ass guy who thought he was the S***.
