30P is feasible, and has been used for some concert footage among other things.

As far as BD being better than broadcast, that doesn't really take much. The problem is that hi-def broadcasts are overcompressed and not only lose detail, but also have compression artifacts. They also can't contain lossless audio, or any of the other features that an offline disc format can have.

Yeah, 60p would take up over twice the space as 24p I would imagine in data. 30p would be nice if they could do that.
