Why all the bad movies

Why is so much crap getting shoved out to the market on Blu ray?

Some, like Ultraviolet and Stealth while bad movies might get snatched up as it's action will show off a great HD T.V. and sound system. Wouldn't you rather have Star Wars IV,V and VI for that instead?

There's crap on every format, from VHS to DVD, from HD DVD to Blu-ray and from cinema to cinema.
Why would Blu-ray be the first format in history to selectively only put out what you think are good movies?
Sure I'd love to have the Star Wars trilogy and it would end the format war in it's tracks, but there are lots of current BD movies I can see in the stores that I'll be buying and lots coming up too.

I'd buy American Psycho over Psycho any day of the week. Narnia? Not so hot. The animated version was better. American Psycho again.
LOTR vs. American Psycho? Duh! LOTR of course. That's the extreme upper echelon of HD titles.
