Link is no good. I would recommend hitting ALL of the local furniture stores though.

I would have to agree.

A lot depends on your budget. Home theatre seating can get VERY expensive, and it's not necessarily the most comfortable.

Our cinema is set with an overstuffed chaise lounge, couch and reclining chair that we selected with comfort in mind, so the theatre can also double as a bedroom during larger overnight gatherings. We would not have been able to do this had we opted for theatre seating. It's not comfortable enough to sleep in.

Check the clearance sales at local stores.

We just had a new place open up near us that has some nice theater stuff in it, at least nicer then most of the other places around. The pieces I was looking at are 2 person love seats with built in cup holders and electric reclining, they were $1k/each and I want 3 of them

I would seriously listen to these words. My HT seating has fulfilled a short term goal (able to be broken down into sections to fit into my apartment), but a long term goal would be for max comfortability and the ability to be versatile (used as a sleeping couch for company).

Another word of caution is to actually sit in the product before you buy it! I bought straight from the internet and can't stress this one enough. I'm a tall person, and I don't fit well on 'normal' sized things. I now have a normal sized couch.

I totally recommend checking out local stores as well, as you need to actually sit in it to make informed decisions, as Drew stated. Fabrics can vary alot too, such as microfiber versus leather, so I think this deserves consideration too. We bought our HT seating locally. I love it, my chair is so comfortable, and it can rock or recline, depending on the mood I'm in. However, I understand how important a budget is, and we can't all afford what we really want, so compromise is usually required. Good luck.

I have had my chairs for about 9 months and I love them. They have worked out great. They were extremely cheap and very comfortable. they are not for everybody. they are made of durable vinyl. I do clean them often and I baby them so that they will last a long time. They attach to each other and they come in 1 arm or 2 arm. I made a bige frame underneath all of them so that my buttkickers could move them all together and it worked out perfectly! Where did I buy these awesome seats? Kmart $199.00 one arm and $220 for the 2 arm. That is the sale price and they often have them at that price. Obviousely try them out first. My big $$$ went into the A/v of the home theater. see my seats in my gallery.

Excellent suggestion and great price! I looked it up on kmart.com; will have to stop into a store and try it out for myself.

That really is a good price. I don't think they have armrest storage, so it may not be for everyone. Definitely should be a consideration on the economical aspect alone.

I suggest that you try and sit in your chosen chair for a lengthy period of time before pulling the trigger. There are many chairs that are soft and comfy at first but they don't have good support for long periods of sitting.

Also, extreme comfort can have its drawbacks. One of my friends cannot stay awake for an entire movie in my theater now.
