Ummm, what was wrong with the Dark Knight?

For me: plot holes, too long, Harvey Dent storyline and final act was not developed realistically because there was too much going on and I didn't buy it, Batman wasn't in it enough. It would have worked better had it been 2 films, and the Harvey Dent stuff mostly in a second one, but as it was it felt like too much was rammed in. I mean, I do LIKE the film, Ledger is amazing and it was the most ambitious movie of its genre I've seen, but it didn't wholly succeed IMO. I think it's overhyped and overrated.
Definitely not the worst blu-ray in my collection, that'd probably be Basic Instinct 2... even though it's alright as a comedy. I generally don't blind buy, or get movies I don't like, so I'm pretty happy with them all!

As far as worst PQ, I'd probably go with Basic Instinct 2 as well!

Best Film: The Dark Knight (Contrary to nametag's opinion, I think it's an amazingly made film all around, bested only by Nolan's newest film - Inception.)
Worst Film: Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (A blind buy that didn't do it for me. It was more for my wife, who's more into anime.)

Best PQ: Avatar (It just doesn't get any better than that.)
Worst PQ: This is Spinal Tap (Not that it's the fault of the movie, it was shot in 16mm, it's supposed to look like that, it's just not something to show off on your HDTV. My favorite comedy of all time though.)

I'm sorry, but if it replicates the look of the movie perfectly, then how can it have the 'worst PQ'?

I'm just saying the movie doesn't shine in HD. It's true to the original source, yes, but it's not the kind of movie that requires an upgrade. It's not something you demo to show off your TV. It doesn't, and won't ever, represent what is so great about Blu-ray, lets just leave it at that.

Well, should every Blu-ray be used to show off a television? I believe Blu-ray should be used to replicate a film's theatrical look, no matter what it looks like. Spinal Tap did that, so then it's a good Blu-ray, right?

You're absolutely right, you win. I give up.

Best Blind Buy: Trick 'R Treat
Worst Blind Buy: Donnie Darko 2: S. Darko
Best PQ: Sin City, The Ruins, Kill Bill (Volumes 1 & 2), and Cloverfield.
Best AQ: 28 Weeks Later, Cloverfield, Crank, Drag Me To Hell, The Final Destination, and The Strangers.

Those are just to name a few.

Also, when I really don't like a movie that I bought (which has only happened two or three times), I sell them on eBay and usually get what I paid back on there.

I haven't watched Donnie Darko 2, so I can't comment on it, but the original Donnie Darko is my worst blind buy on DVD. So I can sympathize with you

I keep them or try to sell/trade them. Most of my blind buys I do like.

Anybody want to buy Gran Torino or 9 off me? Only movies I regret buying. 9 was a blind buy that after 4 views I still don't get, and Gran Torino has 0 replay value and depresses me (yet it's still a 5 star movie) every time I see it. So what's the point of keeping it, lol?

I sold off the Condemned, and both the Fantastic Fours and Underworlds for similar reasons, that I just didn't find them entertaining anymore.

I stopped Blind Buying after I got Netflix. Unless it's something I KNOW I'll love, like Sherlock Holmes, for example.
