Play.com are now listing the complete boxset on Blu-ray. The price? You guessed it - £270!

http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...t/Product.html

Wow, if that doesn't come down before release, that's a shocker. No way is that affordable. Double the price of the DVD set? Come on. And good news to anyone who doesn't want the Senet game set because Play.com have the box contents on the DVD version. 6 seasons in plastic cases, not even a bonus disc thrown in like America are getting. Anyone like me who wants the special edition will have to import from Amazon.com.

In other news, the UK will get an extra disc from HMV orders. Not sure what's on the disc, might be the one missing from the complete set. Although the price is higher than the standard Blu-ray version.

Amazon has now reduced their price.......to £199.

I think thats mis-information as all countrys get the bonus disk with the complete set.

The bonus disc with Season 6 will be similar to the HMV Bonus disk that came with Season 5.

Does Play have a Pre-order Price Guarantee like Amazon? Obviously I don't want to miss out on the £150 price on Play, in case it goes up. If Amazon stick to £200, Play might think they're being a bit generous!

Seriously, it did say £270 when I posted earlier! £150 is much more reasonable. Didn't take long for them to bring the price down. The missing disc I mentioned is a bonus disc that is only available with the US version of the Complete Collection. It will contain over two hours of exclusive bonus content that isn't on any of the individual season releases. HMV are offering a bonus disc, and it's my wishful thinking that it will have this content on it since the UK won't be getting it in the Complete Collection set. However, as has been mentioned, it's probably similar to the disc HMV gave away with Season 5.

I'm going to wait, personally. If it climbs above £150, it'll soon find it's way back down again in a promotion or something. These retailers need to be told that we won't just jump through their extortionate hoops because they've declared what the price should be. No. They should earn our custom, and the only way we'll make them do it is by refusing to pre-order at ridiculously inflated prices until they re-join the real world.

199 is way to much too! i like the form factor of the UK version more than the US for sure but the cost of the UK needs to drop to 150 or less before its work the cost to import it. I suspect the US version will sell for 150 US for a few sales a year even

I have not seen any confirmation that UK has not got the bonus disc.
Yes we get screwed by Disney on complete sets like Alias but Alias DID contain the same bonus dvd that came with the US boxset. Only thing we had missing was fancy box and book. So I am hoping we get the bonus disc based on that.

I haven't got a source, but if this image on the Play.com DVD page is anything to go by, it's not there. It just looks like all the other previous boxsets we get over here, notably Season 5 when they started putting them in plastic flip cases instead of the card and mini case boxes they're released in separately.

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/13593...t/Product.html

I do hope we get the disc, but I'm not gonna hold my breath unless we get confirmation that it IS there. HMV's Season 6 photo shows the bonus disc, so why doesn't this one?

maybe that pic is a early image or something.
The HMV season 6 has a HMV exclusive bonus dvd so wont be anywhere else.

As you noted that's the DVD listing and not the Blu-ray page. Considering that and the fact that the page says "Artwork subject to change" I think it's a little early to draw any conclusions from it. We'll know soon enough.

Yeah, I know it's HMV exclusive. What I mean is, if they can get a photo of the set along with their bonus disc, why can't Play.com get a photo of the 1-6 set with the extra disc? I just makes me think it's because there is no extra disc. And I know it says artwork subject to change, but they always put that just in case. It doesn't mean it's definitely not the final image, just as much as it doesn't mean it is the final image. Besides, I was just putting it out there and telling you what I'm basing my conclusion on. I really hope I am wrong on this one.
