Exclamation Does anyone bother to make their own in-lays?

In this day and age of "once you got its not our problem culture" I wondered whether anyone here actually went to these lengths to make their collection stand out?

At first I thought you meant in-laws, but w and y are too far apart. So... what is an in-lay?

I actually like the in-lays, the ones that actually have something to do with the movie (chapters, production notes, ect.), it makes the case seem less boring, but I much more prefer when they have the art on the other side of the cover art. I wish all movies had that.

And yeah, I had no idea what an in-lay was before clicking on this topic.

I call them inserts but there can be other names for them too.

IMO all blu-rays should come with these as standard. Just makes the whole thing look so much better. Even if they were just chapter points and an image/s, although a small booklet preferred (personally).

Shame because not a lot of studios bother.

I make custom covers, but not inlays because you almost never see them. What's the point?

I find that I'm disappointed with most blu-ray releases when it comes to the aesthetics of the product. Too many flimsy cases, cover inserts are not 2 sided (no background pic behind disc). But then movies that I enjoy don't come out on steelbook either...so i guess I'm stuck.

The point is that collectors sometimes go a bit to the extreme. I wouldn't be surprised if someone made their own in-lays...

I'd prob do it, although it's too time consuming to do it for every disc I purchased (I'm only an amateur on photoshop).

If I had the skills and everything, I'd make my own booklets!... for select movies at least.
