Earth vs. The Spider 1958

Peter Jackson filmed a redition of the spider pit scene from the 1933 King Kong. It's a extra on the King Kong 1933 special release DVD. Not bad for a modern day filming.

"Kingdom of the Spiders" starring William Shatner. Great cult classic, sadly a blu-ray will probably never surface.

Same thing with Tarantula; it only came out on DVD a few years ago as part of a "Classic Sci-Fi Ultimate Collection Pack".

It was never filmed, but the film was to have a giant spider called a Thanagarian Snare Beast.

[Show spoiler]Superman Lives

For anyone who hasn't heard the story, this is a must viewing. It's 20 mins of the best storytelling I've ever heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgYhLIThTvk
