Ward No. 6 (Палата No. 6) Blu-ray

Karen Shakhnazarov's (Jazzmen / Мы из джаза) latest effort (with Alexander Gornovsky) is the drama Ward No. 6 (Палата No. 6) (2009). Russia's official submission to the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 82nd Oscars in 2010. This title has apparently been out from MosFilm since January 2010, touted as their first Blu-ray Disc release. Information indicates the disc is Region ABC with English and French subtitles only.

Interested to hear thoughts and opinions on this film from anybody who has seen it. It is apparently based on a short story by Chekov?
