Just curious what this mark/line is? the area of the mark is a slightly different colour. The dvd is 6yrs old & plays fine. Just wondering if its a sign of deterioration.

Does it occur by it self? Thought dvd's were meant to last alot longer when just sitting in the case.

good to hear. I still try to keep my old dvds stored away in a safe just in case something bad happens to my BD collection. dvds still better than nothing.

IMHO, it's neither warping nor deterioration. It's the glue keeping together the various layers of plastic that a disc consists of. I have this on discs older than 10 years, and doing a disc quality scan of them in a DVD-ROM, they appear without any significant error rates. Goes without saying they also play back fine, of course.
