I took your advice C6 Z06!
I had one too many issues with the Samsung BDP1400 after only owning it for a week, so I returned it today and got the Panasonic BD30.
The first thing I did was pop in LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD. The Samsung BDP1400 would not play it. The Panasonic read it no problem!! I also like the rewind and fast forward features on the Panasonic much better. The Samsung was too slow and just weird. The Panasonic cost me $100 more unfortunately, but it will be worth it for hassle free playability.
