The hardest part was navigating the tangle of cables back there. There's an inch of space on top, and I've got a couple fans blowing on it, so I'm not worried about overheating. But with all the weight, and dealing with dangling cords, I was a little worried for my feet!

Sarge, I was concerned that my indicator lights weren't working at all since I never saw them move even once when testing my XPA-2. So I asked Emo and got a response the same day from Vincent:

"Understand how the power led indicators perform, they perform relative to the voltage that being inputted into the input stage of the XPA-2, and micro controller of the XPA-2 relates this to a lamp indication. I have filled my room with just 2 LED lamps showing so sometime seeing a LED display not show much is normal. Also please note the XPA-2 meters are calibrated for an 8 ohm nominal impedance. 4 ohms you just simply double what you see. So if you are running 4 ohm speakers at low levels you may not see an indication at all or only 1 or 2 lamps may show. This is normal operation of the XPA-2."

When I cranked my 8ohm speakers to reference volume I had 1 LED showing on each side.. that was it so far..

Oh, I misunderstood how it worked then, I thought the louder you play your music or movie the more lights you will see. At least that's what it seems on Emo's website on that video they have up. Thanks for the response. I ordered the XPA-2 this morning and it should be here by Friday.

I believe that is what he is saying but it seems that it will take a great deal to get multiple LEDs lit. Another words, your ears will start to bleed by then

Hi lokir1, I'm glad you are enjoying your XPA-5 And I personaly love the X-series RCAs. I want the XPA-2 to power my fronts since they are rated at 250 watts and it would be nice to have the extra headroom. I'm not sure how the XPA-3 works if you only use 2 channels.
