Jason is of course correct but for the small investment I would get a couple extra so you have spares around Cables can go bad.

Enjoying putting my new amp through it's paces. Just popped in Kings of Leon- Live at the O2, and the sound is fantastic. The audience sound is more alive and akin to being there. The guitars have more bite and substance, and it's not even up to my regular listening levels. This is great!

And yeah, this all basically sums it up. It takes about 75db on my spl before I start getting a "heartbeat", which is 2 LEDs per channel. I've never been able to get it to redline before my ears start giving in. I took some readings today, and I cranked it to where it was fluctuating between 2 solid LEDs per/ch and maybe 7 or 8 total per channel which is barely 1/2 of the XPA-2 meter. This was 92 db on my SPL from about 14' sitting position. I probably could have gone a bit louder, but really that was enough for me. My "loud" listening levels that I can tolerate for reasonable periods is about 85db and I get 2 to 3 LEDs per channel avg, and maybe 5 to 6 LED spikes. I normally just keep all the lights off, but it's been cool seeing them dancing around today.

I am looking forward to buy an XPA-5 soon. Do you think..there will be a discount during labor day weekend or at Emofest?

If i could get a better deal at Emofest....i can drive 4hrs to franklin and i could listen to XPA-5 in action as well before buying.

Go for it. If only I'm 4 hours away I'd go to Emofest without a doubt.
