ah, Kwai. Fun. Almost all the extras included, but this doc - is it really new from the 50min version they had on the 2 disc set? It's described as " an exclusive new retrospective documentary covering everything from the adaptation of the original Boulle novel to the restoration"

Still, happy the Holden and Guiness stuff is on there.

If you want it now, it's pretty easily importable. Last I checked on it, it was pencil'd in for next spring
Hi Jeff,

What about Finding Nemo? I would have guess that it would be released with Toy Story 3. Is it possible that it will be announced soon?

Figures that Pixar would wait until the very end to release my favorite Pixar film, The Incredibles.

I am curious as to what motivated them to make a Cars sequel considering that it was the least critically acclaimed of all the Pixar films.

Of course the worst Pixar film is still light years better than many studios best films.

I enjoyed Cars a helluva lot more than Finding Nemo.

/The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar film too.

Metacritic and Rottentomatoes.

And...........ME.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Pixar_films

It comes at 74% for Rottentomatoes and no other Pixar film gets less than 90%.

I'd still give it a B though. It was entertaining, but felt it was probably about 20 minutes too long.

I'm not saying Cars in unworthy of a sequel, but based on that info it would seem that there are other Pixar films that people would prefer a sequel to.

The Incredibles seems the most sequel friendly.

I was speaking more to the "what motivated" part of your comment than the "least critically acclaimed" part.

And, for the record, it's my least favorite Pixar movie, too- by a fair margin. It's the only one I never made it out to the theatre to see and, when I did finally see it on DVD for the first time, I fell asleep.

I was just saying that based on the reviews and feedback that there are other Pixar films that we would have preferred a sequel to other than Cars.

Based on the reviews (and box office) both Finding Nemo and Incredibles would be more sequel friendly.

I am sure there are other factors.

Booo. Cars is excellent (don't trust Rotten Tomatoes, people like me are on it), but Cars II (FORMULA ONE!) will be much better. I mean, at least in Europe they have drivers that can turn right once in a while...

I love it when people say "dont trust Rottentomatoes" when it doesn't agree with their opinion. Rottentomatoes is pretty much the closest thing we have to getting a general feel on something. Is it perfect? No, but name something better.

What I don't like is when bonuses to game and movie makers are handed out based on metacritic performance. I seem to recall the Dead Space creators where pissed that it had a metacritic score of 89 when they would have gotten a bonus if it had been 90 or above.

Cause it's John Lasseter's pet project, and it's an evergreen major merch mover, far and away beyond any of the other Pixar movies

Brad Bird is engaged in MI4 as well as another live action project. He'll do Incredibles 2 when his schedule clears

Honestly, Cars is one of my favorite Pixar movies. I think it's the aspect of a dying town coming back to life again. I was 25 and a City Commissioner in my old home town when it came out, so Radiator Springs felt very relevant. It is a major merchandise mover - my three year just got another Lightning McQueen, despite the fact that we already had one.

Ditto....on both accounts. Nemo's probably my least favorite Pixar film, mainly because of Ellen Degeneres.
