For The Transporter, I believe it said MultiPCM when it made the sound.

However, once again, it's not just a scratching. It's a loud crackling sound. I'll take a video of it and post it here after I'm done watching this movie.

I notice on my setup when the DTS-HD demo starts up before a movie my sound cuts out for a millisecond

The UMC has great PQ. I will say though that my 886 is noticeably sharper which has the Reon HQV chip (this was after fine tuning). The UMC is also a global video setting, whereas the 886 has adjustable video settings per input which is nice. If I can compare what I remember about my Yamaha 1800, the UMC is just as good if not better. Nevertheless, I'm more in it for the AQ though so overall I prefer the UMC-1.

One thing I love though about the UMC is the OSD over HDMI overlay @ 1080p. It's nice to be able to make adjustments and have a movie still playing (sound & picture) all at the same time.

Haven't had a chance to fire it up today... too busy with work with meetings and such. Normally I at least have music going all day, but obviously can't do that when on meeting calls. One more hour!

I had a Denon before I got the UMC-1 and there is a difference in the PQ for me. I notice there's a bit more detail and deeper colors than I had with the Denon.

As mentioned, the sound is fantastic, which is the reason I bought it.

I never get that. Of course, I got out my video camera to videotape the strange crackling, but then it works perfectly!!! Every time with anything, when I'm alone, it happens, when I'm trying to show someone, it works just fine. Irritating...I'll get it one of these times.
Once I had it turned up and that crackling made me jump out of my skin and had a headache..yes, it's that loud.
I jumped to my pro as fast as I could and turned it down as fast as humanly possible haha.

I was just gonna suggest you try playing the same trailer over and over to see if it consistently does it. That might point to what I was saying about the crackling from too high volume from a digital input source. Now I'm not sure what it is.

Who knows, it could be the UMC trying to acquire the signal, but if it suddenly just started that makes me think a setting change. In that case I would still try finding a volume control in your player and make sure it isn't above normal or 0, just to rule that out.

I have 5 more Blue lights But I need them some of them are not in use , But that just means the ones in use are even better

I recall there being a couple used ones in the Emotiva Lounge.

I bought mine B-Stock and it came looking brand new and still had the new electronic smell and the plastic on the screen. It seriously didn't even have any visible use anywhere on it.
