How far away is Real 3D in home projectors?

Everytime I study up on a 3D Projector I find in all reality its not capable of producing a 3D Image.
So needless to say I am confused as H3LL.

I have the Optoma HD66. I tried the BDP-S570 Bluray player and it will not work. In fact, currently no bluray players will work with the hd66. Not even if you can manually select 720p at 120hz in the bluray player's settings. You must have an Nvidia 3d vision ready pc with the Cyberlink PowerDVD software (3d Bluray Capable) or Arcsoft's TotalMedia Theatre With 3d Plugin.

PC Requirements
- 3d Ready Graphics Card
- Dual Core Processor
- Bluray Drive
- Atleast 2GB Memory
- Totalmedia theatre or PowerDVD with 3d plugin

Here is an email from a tru3d.com representative. I asked him what 3d bluray players will work with the Optoma HD66.

None. Its doesn't matter if the 3D Blu-Ray player supports manual selection of 720p 120Hz, your projector will not pass the proper HDCP validation required for 3D Blu-Ray playback unless you use a PC with 3D Blu-Ray playback software.
