I'm not sure of many players that can handle a DTS or Dolby Signal. Are you trying to bitstream it to a receiver or just stereo on the computer?

ok, if the media players can't do it, what about copying the file to a SD AVC card.....would this enable playback via a SD slot HDTV?

Hmm. Sorry I was napping. Um so You're trying to play a Blu-Ray Disc. From what I'm Finding it comes down to encryption. I'm not finding any freeware or open source players that support Blu-Ray Playback. The HD audio tracks being un-decodeable on freeware stuff.

I'm sorry bud I don't see it working at all without spending at the least $55+ to get a player capable of decoding it all.

ll.
What I have is a 1.2gig file W7 lists as AVCHD video....I just dled it from the net.
I assume this file is just a bluray spec file that I can copy to a SD card and playback on a SD AVC enable HDTV?....or is the bitrate too high?

Failing that, will the new Divx plus software convert the file to another audio format of HQ?

Electrical retailers use this file as a 1080p demo for their HDTV's.....that's where I originally saw it

I noticed my Panasonic BD player has a SD slot, but I have a funny feeling that it won't playback hi-bitrate 1080p as it sounds like it's moreso for their digicams and they're AVCHD lite....but does anyone know if this would work..?

VLC and media player classic can decode hd audio but the high audio bitrate causes those players to not be able to keep the video and audio insync. As for windows media, it cannot decode hd audio and attempts to play the first non hd audio track. It probably didn't have any alternate audio tracks to choose from.

A blu-ray player with sd slot should be able to handle it.
