It's been widely reported to be region free and the cover states ABC, but I don't have the means to confirm.

I got three Blu-rays for $40 total. That's pretty cheap at $13.33 AU each.

Is the track exactly the same, just that the difference is a 5.1 and 7.1 track? Or is one more aggressive of a track than the other?

As I mentioned earlier I don't have access to the US one but I seriously doubt it would top the AU track by much if there was any difference at all. It's a solid track.
