I hope they figure out a way to use the UK quad art. Reminds me of a Jasper Johns map:
Either way, I'm all over this, as IFC probably won't have it out for ages. Here's hoping we get some input from La Binoche in the extras--she often seems to downplay her involvement in light of her directors. [Show spoiler]

I received my copy today.
![]() This Blu-ray Disc is Region FREE. Both the film and the supplements should play perfectly on North American SAs and PS3s. Where necessary, the film and supplements contain optional, white font English subtitles. |

I watched this last night and quite enjoyed it. After about the first half hour I was thinking "this should have been a rental" (I've bought it), but by the end I really liked it. It reminded me somewhat of Before sunset. Juliette Binoche is as gorgeous as ever, especially in HD

Are you a fan of Kiarostami's work? Although that being said, he is one of the most intriguing directors out there, and his work has been quite different in recent years that you can't always say you will like his next film
![]() This is what I read elsewhere: "Other critics, such as Variety’s Rob Nelson, took little joy in noting that the film was “deliberately derivative,” and dutifully provided what became the requisite list of ostensible influences: Voyage to Italy (1954), Before Sunrise (1995), and In the Mood for Love (2000). " I haven't seen any of those, so can't say how close they match this film. But I was pleasantly surprised by this film. After about 45 minutes of watching this I was starting to question whether Kiarostami had finally made an uninteresting and generic film, being a traditional romance with hints of humour. But the elliptical second half made it one of his most interesting films for a few years. Last edited by Immersion; 03-21-2011 at 03:15 PM. |

From the films I've seen of his I'd say this (Certified Copy) is the most accessible. The only other ones I've seen are Shirin and Ten.
