There will be a 3D Blu-ray available this year, packaged with the Panasonic 3D Viera plasma TV. However the article says that it's only relevant for the US market, so I don't know if it will apply to us or not. |

I couldn't care less about 3D - it's such a new technology that even if I shelled out for the over-inflated price of a new TV/BD player, there would only be a tiny handful of discs in this format. Even BD has yet to catch on properly, so I think manufacturers are being massively optimistic that 3D is going to set their industry on fire.
Thank goodness I won't have to buy the 3D version just to get the special! |

Yeah and apart from the current Blu on Play, which is priced at £23.99, both the DVD and Blu-ray editions have become unavailable on Amazon and HMV, the latter listing it as deleted. So an announcement really shouldn't be too long now. Here's hoping the Limited Edition is another Steelbook.
