I swear the same level of excitement people are showing toward Denard Robinson now was shown towards Tate Forcier at this time last year, when the team started 4-0 but finished 1-7.

lol Forcier seemed like a clutch QB I don't know why RichRod didn't think he still had growing to do and playing is the only way to grow!

And yes Penn St is rebuilding and it doesn't apply to only Big 10 teams. Man the hatred Big 10 gets is unbelievable. The conferences that really should be getting this kind of hate are the ACC or Big East. Oh wait no one cares about those conferences. The Pac 10 or Big 12 don't get this kind of hate and especially the Big 12 who have lost the last 2 title games.
I don't think the Big 10 gets any hatred. To the contrary, ESPN spends most of its morning talking about Ohio State and Penn State and Michigan. I think people are tired of hearing about those particular teams, that's all.

If you had a playoff system, you wouldn't feel that people hate the Big 10. Year after year, one or two of the above teams would get in and either win or get exposed. As of right now, however, a team that goes undefeated in the Big 10 gets an automatic National Championship berth. Personally, I don't like it. While I'm a big Wisconsin and Michigan State fan, the conference as a whole is not what is used to be. As such, going defeated in the Big 10 does not mean what it used to. There are viable arguments that a 1-loss SEC or Big 12 team deserves a chance over an undefeated Big 10 team.

Now that I think about it, adding a conference championship game will do a lot for the Big 10, too.

Yep like last year Iowa STILL almost beat OSU without the Stanz and never got another shot...

But I agree as of now a 1 loss SEC team/ Big 12 team should get the NC bid.

I think the coach's poll needs to mean more than what some random computer with a bunch of statistics and scenarios spits out.

Maybe, but the truth is the coaches watch almost no games. The only games they are going to watch are games which involve future opponents. Coaches don't want to spend what little free time they have during the season watching more football. Many coaches have admitted at times to not filling out the poll themselves and instead having an assistant or someone in the athletic department do it.

You are way off on just about everything you talked about.

ESPN does not spend particular amounts of time talking about those teams you mentioned. They talk about Ohio State because they are always highly ranked and playing in big games. The only times they talk about Michigan is RichRod and the trouble the school is in. The only time I hear Penn St is if it is about Paterno. So what you are saying is untrue. Again what have these teams done to garner so much hatred. If saying that get too much exposure is your answer I am going to say you are incorrect because they aren't overexposed. Now ESPN does talk about USC, and the SEC teams more than any other teams.

Give me a break with a one loss Big 12 team deserving it. Oklahoma has lost what it's lost 4-5 BCS games and some of them in embarrassing fashion. Texas has more than held it's on but outside of those two the Big 12 is not very good at. That conference comes down to those 2 teams every year.

I always find it funny that people jump on Ohio State for losing big games when their BCS bowl record is above .500 but teams like Choklahoma don't get near as much scrutiny for losing more often.

But more importantly do you think Greens appeal will work? from what I've read we should hear something by tomorrow.

Its really a joke I think, I've paid well over 1000 for stuff and I think if UGA was a favorite team/player of mine I'd have paid more.

Also I think the ends looked really solid on the lines, but that interior line looks to have some issues.

I think Steve Spurrier was having an assistent coach fill his out for a long time. The whole system is a joke.

The level of excitement was similar, but not as big as with Robinson right now. As a lifelong fan, I didn't get too excited by Robinson after the UCONN win, but after his performance in ND, I am pumped about him. I admit I was pumped about Forcier around this time last year, but even after they were 4-0 last year, Forcier was making some iffy decisions and was constantly lobbing the ball up for grabs.

Everyone knew Robinson could run, but he is throwing accurate lasers out there now. #20 in the AP now and climbing...I hope.

Not sure about A.J. Yesterday, Richt said the appeal would he heard Tuesday, but apparently it will now be heard on Wednesday. At least the appeal is heard by NCAA school members, not the panel that originally issued the ridiculous 4-game suspension.

I reiterate that he must've either done something more than sell a jersey and/or lied about something to garner such a suspension.

I liked the 5 sacks against South Carolina, but man we couldn't tackle their RB. Our offensive playcalling was really really bad, too. I wish Mike Bobo would stop coddling the RS Freshman and let him air it out.

Going to have to air it out this weekend against #13 Arkansas, no doubt about it.

I work with a former starting OL, and we talked to one of his former teammates today who went to the game in South Bend (the former teammate played at UofM and went to law school at Notre Dame). They're both worried about the apparently awful kicking game and think Michigan will still end up losing 4-5 this year.

Yeah I'm sure being in MI you have a better sense then I, I just remember watching those Forcier comebacks and going WOW

Yeah if Mallett gets to settle in, it could get bad, but if that rush can get him they should be done.

The ND game wouldn't have been that close if Michigan's kicker could make some chip shot field goals. I'm very worried about him and his confidence right now.

Well at least they finally dropped Va Tech out of the top-25. It would have been a joke if they kept them in it after going 0-2 and losing to James Madison.

ACC teams should have to fill out an application before being admitted into the top 25

The ACC and Big East really need to have their BCS status re-evaluated. Right now only one Big East team (#21 West Virginia) and one ACC team (#17 Miami) are even ranked. No way should those conferences still be receiving a free BCS bid for the champion. They just steal a spot from far more worthy teams.
