The Glory.

What a wonderfull film.
One of the most mature, realistic and overall good movies I have ever seen.
The leading 3 actors were outstanding.
One of the best war/history movies ever made.
Highest recommendations for movie fans.

10/10

We have a pretty wide range of taste in movies between us regulars (Michael Bay to Hitchcock )
None of us actually like each other. Especially that squidpuppet fellow with the big nose.

I'm looking forward to finishing the film.
Yeah, I felt a lot of it come together in the final hour so who knows how you'll feel at the end. Its so epic that I found myself going "huh? who is X?" after character X would be discussed. Lots of characters Let me know what you think when you finish it.

Well I was just trying to be courteous to the new guy, I didn't want him to realize right off the bat that we hate each other. ESPECIALLY that guy.

I will say this--regardless of what happens in that final hour, I'm glad to own the film. The production design and costume design are so extraordinary that it's worth seeing and owning on blu just for that. Plus, I think the packaging is amazing as well, with the pictures being stunning.

Good points -- the packaging may be the best of any blu I have, along with Marienbad. Definitely excellent replay value. Also should be a great excuse to invite this Italian girl over I met the other day who is fluent and grew up in Italy as a kid Wait till she hears me blabber on about 1860 Sicilian history! hmm on second thought...

I couldn't ask for any better recommendation than that given by both of you. I can't wait for my copy to arrive from the UK.

Boogeyman.

10/10
Because I saw the first 2 minutes of the movie and than couldnt continue as it was too scary for me.
Thats what a horror should be like.

highly not recommended if you sleep alone and plan to spend more than 2 minutes watching a movie.

That's right, I forgot -- you bought a region-free player! Smart man!

I bet you've already saved the cost of the player?

Post your comments once you watch it -- looking forward to reading your thoughts on the film.

[Show spoiler]ARE YOU FUDGIN' SERIOUS?!

this one was one of the most boring and terrible horror movies "of all time!"
and i thought everyone else would feel the same way. it's been YEARS since i've seen this, so i don't remember how it starts, but believe me, it goes downhill QUICKLY.

Probaly 2001 since I watched A Clockwork Orange and I absolutely loved that movie and I want to see more of Kubrick.

I haven't seen Se7en but I hear it's a great movie with a really intresting twist.
