Incredible numbers for the PS2. Are these just America?

PS2 271,160 (+297%) 45,677,266

If you look at total units sold (45 mil for PS2 and 2.6 mil for PS3) that would seem to indicate north america.

EDIT: Oh, and that at the top of the chart it says "American."
