Too funny, i was actually looking online to see when this movie would be on bluray, and i come across this thread. One of my favorite movies. Hope for a US release soon....

I recall where the Criterion news came from... I believe someone asked them on their facebook page about a release for THE GAME, and they gave a positive response to the effect it was going to be released by Criterion. I forgot their exact response. But it was a go.

Well...if The Game got the Laserdisk Criterion treatment..there may be hope for us yet! How much does it go for on ebay?

?? Most Criterion LDs are pretty reasonable these days, running from $2 - $20. I think I picked up my Game for around $12.

For people who haven't gotten it, the import DVD versions have almost all the Criterion extras.

lol.You rate Panic room higher?. . . .Strange.Each to his own I guess.In his early career,I saw a slight pattern to his movies.on/off/on/off.Alien3:Interesting,but not the best movie ever.Se7en:Extremely well made psychological thriller.The game:Very good,but no heavyweight moviewise.Fight club:Again a masterpiece IMO,and a very well made movie.Panic room:By Fincher's own admission a popcorn movie,entertaining but just that.Then came Zodiac.I had high expectations for this one,but I found it slightly lightweight in comparison to Se7en and Fight club.Now-after Benjamin Button-I feel maybe his best work is maybe behind him,but am also eagerly awaiting the facebook movie.
