Well Sony owns the Demon Souls IP so it' not DS2 then

Hopefully they keep the same core gameplay for it though.

Of course it's not DS2. It's something similar but not quite Demon's Souls.

Either way I'm still pumped for this. I had a feeling they would make something similar but not another DS2.

This is not what I wanted when I asked for Demon's Souls 2. Will keep an eye on it because of the people making it and Demon's Souls is beyond awesome, but I'm not hyped right now.

I never expected them to make a DS2, the most I hoped for was something similar to DS. Sort of how like DS is similar to King's Field I was hoping they would continue on that path. A DS2 would be awesome, but if this is the closest were getting I'm prefectly happy with that.

Hope they keep the core of DS gameplay intact and that project dark is the spiritual successor to kings field/demons souls I.e. What bioshock is to system shock.

Haha! Validation. Also, Shadow Tower is often overlooked in the series. King's Field => Shadow Tower => Demon's Souls => presumably new dungeon crawler with same basic mechanics.

Whats the point of putting this type of game on xbox? The PS3 version is going to sell way more. It already has a large built in fanbase. Yeah its not a true sequel to DS (so they say, i think for obvious reasons) but its inspired by it.

To sell more I would guess. Demon's Souls probaly did better than they expected I think and it seems most companies these days could care less about which console it comes out on. More consumers if it's not limited to one console. I agree though I want it for PS3 only!!
