4. You already mentioned the tech side but I will reiterate how important it is, very. Again, consumers will skimp on tech to save money, already proven.

5. By the time normal people are interested in either format there won't be a large disparity in price unless Toshiba continues to take a hit on every player sold. (LG ~ $450-500) Every company takes a hit with the players- they don't make money from those.

I do appreciate your view- I'm just saying the least expensive one usually wins out.
