Depending on where you live, you can probably find a local cabinet builder/wood worker who can build one for you for less than $1,000. If done right, the materials and build quality will be better than a mass produced product and you get the added benefit of being able to size it specifically for your space and HT gear.
I designed mine in Google SketchUp (free 3d modeling software) then had a cabinet builder make it for me. About $850 after it was all said and done...

I agree 100% I searched and searched for one that fit exactly what I wanted. I ended up having mine built. It cost me a bit more than $1000. I would definitely urge you to have fans installed. I asked my builder to do a push/pull config, but he just put exhaust fans in. It does a fair enough job though so i am happy. Check out my gallery for pics of what I have done. Good luck!
