And the dark moments were great eh? Kinda heavy. I just had to temper my expectations. A kids movie? Sure, kinda. An adult film? Yes too. An odd mix that worked.
I agree. My questions weren't so much to point what I didn't like about the film, but to bounce them off you to see if I was missing something. Yeah, this is one that I have to just calibrate my expectations and I'm guessing will like even more on a second viewing.

did you watch the extras? and the gallery? OMG, the "farting pig" is the actual name of those monsters who

I am happy that you enjoyed the animation. It really is CGI done right. Truly a gifted and passionate team of animators for sure. I loved the floating debris and the glowing, undulating, breathing clouds. The whole thing just dripped of mood. You can sure see the European influence in everything from buildings to meadows to clothing....its so un-USA.

500 Days of Summer next?
Yeah, it looked at times like a "video game movie", which to me is a great thing, as I'm a former gamer. Yeah, non-USA, non-hollywood, non-conventional...all that stuff. My brain was saying "wow! me like this! me never processed anything like this before!". It brought back memories of an Ebert quote of how in the past 10-15 years, our brains have become so drowned with information, that directors and screenwriters have to be more and more imaginative to come up with new stuff the brain hasn't seen yet. He cited Herzog who said he might just start a screenplay by thinking of something completely random, like a suited armored knight, on a canoe, with monkey on his shoulder <-- exact example Ebert quoted Herzog as saying. I felt that same level of imaginative creativity watching Hunters.

yeah 500 days 2nite

I never looked at the extras but I will now. I wonder why I neglected to do that? I always look at least to see what they contain. Lookin forward to it. Has my post contained enough smilies? I think so.

Just watched Memento again, Sorry it was bugging me. What an amazing movie! I think this has to be moved to my all time favorites. I just finished it for the 2nd time and im tempted to watch it AGAIN!!!!!

So its Golden if Christopher Nolan's name is on a film im watching it no matter the plot. hahahahah.

Just to make sure i got this right
[Show spoiler]The cop was good but using leonard to clean up the streets. He helped him originally but noticed his illness and then used him. Leonard understood and believed him but didnt wanna continue to basically kill for the cop. So he purposely didnt write down anyone note to prove the cop's innocence which would ultimately lead to him thinking he was his wife's killer.

not exactly:
[Show spoiler]
-Lenny's wife was never murdered. There was no "killer". So Teddy was using him from day 1. Remember when Teddy (cop) tells Lenny that (1) "sammy didn't have a wife!" and then (2) "it was your wife who had diabetes!" We then see Lenny's wife getting pricked by the needle. Lenny is Sammy!! Lenny never sold insurance. Lenny is Sammy. Lenny killed his wife accidentally with the over-insulin injections, and in trying to cope with the trauma of that death, he invented the new Lenny so he could cope with his wife's death: a man trying to find the killer of his wife...a killer who never existed...thereby taking the blame off himself for killing her via. the insulin injections.

is that clear now?

Into the Blue - Finally got around to watching this film as I had wanted to see it for a while now. It was an ok film. Somewhat entertaining but very shallow. I can tell u guys that seeing Alba in a bikini underwater and all that junk in her trunk was vicious! An ok story but again it was a film that kinda coasted through but nuthin to intriging.

Film Rating - 3 stars (out of 5)

PQ - 4 stars (out of 5)

AQ - 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)

Got Em!!

Into the Blue = Fun movie

It doesn't try to be anything more, therefore it succeeds

I picked it up for $8, definitely worth it.

Here's what's in the line up for me out of my collection for the next week:

Star Trek

Iron Man - sometime before Iron Man 2 comes in

Iron Man 2

Terminator Salvation

A movie tbizzle hates
Toy Story 5/5
PQ 4.5/5
AQ 5/5
One of the very best and the first CGI full length feature, still one of my favourite Pixars.

Let the Right One In - 5/5
Started watching this last night and just finished it a few minutes ago. This is by far one of the best horror/romance films I've ever seen. Sure, it was a little bit disturbing at times, but that never took away from the attachment I had to the characters and plot. I'm glad that I saw this and am looking forward to the remake, Let Me In. It's gonna be hard to beat the original, though.

Lol, random.

Toy Story is awesome. I always laugh my ass off at Woody's face when he's on the rocket

Still very disappointed in 3, the first two are two of my favourite movies of all-time and I just couldn't get into the third movie, makes me glad it was the last one. Will probably watch 2 tomorrow, that one is just as good, even if it's not quite as iconic.
