I just got back from Fred Meyer electronic, next to my house. I spoke with the manager there and he said "Do to high demands we will be giving Blu-ray its own shelf section, and bring in more Blu-ray titles."

As for HD-DVD, he says. "No, we will not be bringing in HD-DVD."

Hi, not sure which Fred Meyer you went into? but all of the stores carry a 50/50 selection of Blu and HD DVD. I go to three different stores here on the Eastside/Bellevue and two of the stores have this mix. The third does not even stock "any" High Def".

I know that there are stores in Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Oregon so you may have a different set up, but in general I don't see them picking sides yet.

Just my angle on this.
