The film is about so much more than facebook. Most people I know who couldn't give a rat's ass about the site and think it's dumb loved the film. It's a film about greed, ambition, betrayal, loyalty, and that desperate desire to connect with each other that drives us all. This film could have been about the founding of any billion dollar company that exploded with popularity and the themes and ideas would have remained.

In any case, I thought the film was a brilliant character study within a even more brilliant study of the times we live in. It examines human frailty while simultaneously saying something about our time in cultural history, and overall it's just a fantastic film that is masterfully shot, brilliantly written, impeccably acted, and gorgeously rendered. Modern filmmaking at it's finest. I can't think of a better film I've seen this year (Inception comes a very close second for me)

I'm glad you liked it.. it obviously did more for you then it did for me.. yea it was an interesting story but thats about it.. its one of those one and done movies.. if you've seen it twice, its twice to many.. if i wanted to check out a story about a billionaire i would read the news paper.. hey thats just me. I am happy you enjoyed it and I'm sure youll be buying it on BD.. so i wont argue with that i love to see BD being sold.. anyways i thought Let Me In was a much better movie for the 10.1.2010 release week.. story was much more interesting to me, scenery was better i really felt the mood of the movie, it drew me in from the first minute on and i didn't want it to end at al,, i didnt feel any of that with Social Network, i kept looking at my phone to see what time it was; if it hit 2 hours yet.. however I did love Garfields acting though, he did an amazing job.. didnt really enjoy Eisenbergs or Timberlakes performance.. Timberlake was better in Alpha Dog then this

I think I woulda found that less annoying if you said "checked my watch" instead of checking your phone. Not sure why, but I'm so much more offended when somebody in a movie theatre checks their phone. Whole other debate but I figured this is not a movie for everyone, I could see where people would get restless.

well i dont like wearing watches, plus if i did it woudl be a little hard to tell the time in a dark theater.. but i didn't check it often just maybe in the beginning and a little towards the end..

I enjoyed it as a movie and the dialogue was so good but it definitely seemed like a biased one sided story. Id like to see a documentary that is more truthful and two sided story.

While I enjoyed the movie, I agree. Especially with how outspoken Mark Zuckerberg was about the movie too.
