Welcome Eric

How much does each sub weigh? Or did I miss that somewhere in the specs? Thanks.

Quoting Eric from AVS Forums

The weight on the LSP12 on Amazon is actually a little off. The weight is the following for each subwoofer.

LSP08:
Shipping Weight: 30 lbs.
Actual Weight of Sub: 22.83 lbs.

LSP10:
Shipping Weight: 45 lbs.
Actual Weight of Sub:34.25 lbs.

LSP12:
Shipping Weight: 53 lbs.
Actual Weight of Sub: 45.15 lbs.

The specs that Icecoldblue pulled are correct. I will make sure the website gets updated with that info as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is there a possibility of different finishes in the future? (Maple, cherry etc..)

Yes, in the future that is different finishes is something we are planning on adding. I couldn't tell you a time frame as of yet.

Lava, can you check your private messages. Im in the market for a sub and would like to get some info as far comparison to the pa-120. I dont want the house to sound like the trunk of a Honda Civic just nice clean and crisp bass for movies and music. Thanks
Joe

Joe,

I got mine set up. I am VERY impressed. Iam on duty so I plan on getting home in the am and trying different movies and music. Until then, Here is my review from AVS forum...

My lava sub arrived and I am very pleased. What I'm not pleased about is ups delivering it at almost 730 at night when my kids are ready for bed and I can't test it out properly. The only movie I have put in so far was IM2. I haven't been able to run YPAO yet and I haven't turned my volume up past -25db on my AVR so it's tough to judge opts performance but I will say this about it...

1. Simple clean design. Solidly built
2. Tighter bass than I'm used to. Clean bass as well. I now know what boomy is. I had it with my velodyne but don't have it with the lava.
3. When it calls for it, it hits hard. Very hard.
4. If I turn the volume up all the way I get a noticeable hum. Once I turn it back down lower than 3/4 volume it's goes away.

I'll be able to give a more thorough assessment Sunday after I get off shift. Either way, so far I'm very pleased. Eric, def option 3 in my book.

There is a complete review of this subwoofer over at HT Shack.

The lack of any internal bracing kinda concerns me. Even the Emotiva sub offer internal radial bracing. But in the end I guess it comes down to how the product sounds and I have heard no real complaints so far.
