It sounds like a bad connection to me. It could be a loose HDMI cable, or could be a bad cable. It could be a dirty HDMi port.
HDMI is very very picky, but usually for me it goes out completely when there is a signal problem, however I haven't had that problem in months since I re-adjusted the cables.
It could be the input to the TV is bad as well. Are there any other devices the signal goes through (such as an AV receiver)?

I'll try another HDMI Input and try other HDMI cables. No, at this time, I have it connected directly from my TV to my PS3, the TX-SR605 is on it's way though!!

Definitely try a different HDMI input. If that does not work, try a different cable, hopefully of a different brand.
