A summer night in 1962 with the radio as a backdrop becomes the focal point in the lives of four small town California teenagers as they face decisions, both immediate and long term, about the directions of their lives. Steve, wants to break up with Laurie, his devoted high school sweetheart and pursue new experiences away from home. Curt, is hesitant about going away to school and leaving the comfortable, familiar surroundings of family and friends. John, tries to maintain his "too cool for school" image as a hip guy, but can't seem to shake a nagging awareness that life is somehow passing him by. Finally, there's Terry, the nerdy wannabe trying to fit in but who still manages to screw up.. By the next morning, their lives will be changed, some only temporarily and some for a lifetime.
This is just another amazon place holder, it could be years before you get a release date, but a must have if it ever sees the light of day.

I'm hoping that Mr Lucas digitally adds the Fonz to this. At least for a small cameo.

From my long experience buying DVD/BDs from Amazon, believe me this is real. It's listed with a price and opened for pre-order. I've seen so many of this before so this is not the first title they open for pre-order without a date (which will usually be updated a few weeks later).

Placeholders have no price and only allows you to "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available", like this:

Canada Dreams DO come true !

Next to LOA, 'AG' is my most hoped-for catalog title! With its great soundtrack, I'm hoping we get a lossless bump up in audio quality

I love this movie and already own it but I don't know if it would be worth buying again on Blu Ray mainly because most of the movie is at night and grainy. Any upgrade in picture quality would be so subtle to me that I wouldn't notice it. If there are alot extras not included on the DVD release, then I may jump on board.

Something about this film...I don't know. It doesn't leave me depressed, but I guess a little down. More just that sense of longing for the good old days of High School(even though, for me, that wasn't very long ago at all).

That said, still a great movie that I wasn't so sure that I would have enjoyed as much as I do(especially considering how it leaves me feeling at the end). Depending on the transfer, this will at least be a rental

Rule #1: don't sell off a DVD until the blu-ray is officially announced. At least that's my #1 rule.

Wow I just noticed this! Probably in the top 5 that I want released. Saw this when I was a kid and still remember it vividly. If I only would have known who George Lucas was at the time and what he would achieve wow
