Jacob's Ladder:
The scene where the car is chasing Tim Robbins down some alleyway side street and almost runs him over. As the car passes Tim Robbins, in the back car window, he sees some bobble-headed looking monster head staring back at him. I get goosebumps thinking about it. Can someone post this photo here? I can't find it. The Ring: ![]() The Shining: ![]() I know have a sort of brain freeze shiver goose bump feeling after participating in this thread...brrr... Does anyone know what 80s horror movie this was: a kid (I think a girl) is hiding under a bed on the second floor, and an ax-wielding, boot wearing person or monster slowly walks up to the bed and we see the perspective of the kid's view. And I think the person or monster all of a sudden looks under the bed and we see the face, and it scares the crap out of anyone watching. I know this is a cliched-type scene nowadays, but maybe it wasn't in the 80s? I can't figure out what horror film this was. I saw it in the 80s, so I guess it could have been from the 70s too. The Changeling with George C. Scott is just packed with great horror scenes! The POV wheelchair scenes were awesome, as were many others. My favorite, however, was a scene that required no fancy special effects at all - just good filmmaking. This isn't the best snap of it, but it's where the red ball bounces down the stairs:

Its better that i just link the site rather than hotlink the tiny images to this thread
but this one stuck with me for months after i saw it...around 12 maybe.. Poltergeist II Tequila Bug scene infact i probably shouldn't have searched the web for horrific images at a quart to 12 at night methinks ;D haha ALSO i'd like to add that i found a scene in "Mulholland Drive" to be very disconcerting which had these very scary grandparents crawl out of a paper bag. They were only around 7-10 inches in height i think and all they did was scream and run and chase..That was just Nucking Futz ![]() |

Some good pics on here. Some of my choices are:
SPOILERS BELOW 1. Friday the 13th (1980)Jason jumps out of the water. I remember that scared the bejesus out of me back in the day. 2. The Exorcist Pretty much every "demon" scene with Linda Blair. Still scary as hell. 3. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers I saw this in the theater back in 88 and the scene at the very end, where the evil has been passed to Jamie, really freaked me out for a long time. 4. American Werewolf in London David Naughton's yellow eyes scene. 5. The Ring Closet scene 6. Rob Zombie's Halloween II The scene where Michael Myers does the face stomp...did not see that coming. |

The picture won't mean anything unless you've seen the film, but this moment at the end of The Woman In Black (and what it leads immediately to) chilled me like ice water going down my spine. I thought about it for days afterwards.

yeah, The Strangers had some creepy moments, but i found that all the previews and tv commercials ruined the movie and all the surprises. they should not have showed anything, just save it for the movie, it would have added alot more suspense to it for sure
